Mystery Beers
At Street Strip Salt Speed we love our cars. With many late nights & long weekends spent in the garage working on, looking at, & just dreaming about our projects, we have also fostered another love...what we like to call "the mystery beer". This isn't the domain of your mainstream beers (think VB, Carlton Draught, Tooheys New, XXXX), but a benefit of the explosion in boutique beers and craft breweries in the Australian marketplace.
The challenge is... to find a beer no-one has had before, and along the way we stumble across some mighty fine brews. As a very wise man, my grandfather, use to say "there are no bad beers, some are just better than others!". For those of you who work for any of the producers of the beers mentioned favorably, please refer to the "Sponsorship" page of this site!!! So flowing on from the love of mystery beers, we would like to introduce you to the "Garage Fridge", where we keep our favorite mystery beers. To earn a spot in the "Garage Fridge" a beer must be of exceptional quality. Whilst many beers have been tasted in our quest to expand the "Garage Fridge", the memory is somewhat foggy on those that didn't make the grade. After initially adding a heap of comments about the beers here, we have reverted to a simpler good, better, best (garage fridge worthy) approach. It's quicker, and at the end of the day it's about you trying the beers and forming your own opinion, everybody's taste is different. I just encourage you to try as many craft beers as you can because the variety & quality is amazing!
